Lets discuss farming in our gal forum

This isn't really a log.

It's taken from a private galaxy forum (outside planetarion.com) from just before the start of r6. The gal forum belonged to the people of 33:13 that round, most notably Axis_WLF, Seduzer and Logbat.

I gained access to it, because there had been some troubles with the legion irc (there is a claim that this was due to hacking by someone (not me, I cant hack)), and +s mode had dropped out. I did a /list found the url and password/username in the topic and logged in. Most ironic I ended up in the cluster with these people (I played with Deus in 33:24). Since they knew someone had been at the galaxy forum, where they also had written what planet/ruler names that had, they had gotten the PA admins to change planet/ruler name. Sadly for them, I browsed all the gals in my cluster right after shuffle and instantly recognized the galaxy..

Enough, here's the convo about farming:

Farming Galaxy!

i have been PM alot regarding this subject,so when you buy accounts plz think of this.I will try to get some ppl Now but i cant gather 15 thats impossible!

But if some can activate some farmers plz let me know and lets not go overboard with this thing but the fact is that we have to farm some easy roids to fight in the top!

The plan is to get 15 more and less active farmers gatherd in one gal and close that galaxy. NOBODY talks about this to others and we do not have the farmers to talk about it eighter.

And this is talk about farmers, and NOONE shall multi, our galaxy is going to be regulary checked. I was not going to farm this round but it seems like many are willing and want to do it!
So its bettah to do it with style and properly than have a account here and one there.

Im talking on behalf of the gal so no flameing of me here ;-)

i hope if some can gather more than 1 farmer they can be helpful helping out the gal that cant find one thats willing to farm.
then we will grow equally and be united.

BUT we have to join in on galaxy attacks regardless,we are 15 guys and we need the ppl we have.

Farming can give you an extra push in the beginning, and I think it is an ok option to those pretty luckbased attacks you sometimes will have to do before we get the scans and stuff we need to ensure success.

I have an ok farm ready already.

I can probalby get in a farm or two more, have some more friends at school who probably won't mind makeing some roids, but they will probably not be too active, but if we lack ppl...

If the farms doesn't use absolutely all the
resources on initiating roids, someone could pick
the Zikonian race and farm ships too
If its calced and timed right, the farm could send away
all the ships, leaving only behind the ships that is targeted
by the one of the Zikonian steal ships and we can make
kinda double profit. Is that possible?

I have been top 100 4 rounds and never farmed however. I wanna farm this round I wanna be the top galaxy and I feel we can do it and sad to say it but damn ya gotta farm to keep up with the others. I did not have the time nor does seduzer to look for farms. Logbat an excellant PA player is doing a marvelous job finding farms for us but please try to assist if you can in finding farm candidates. Remember please keep this hush hush to people dont say hey were farming i mean this needs to be silent and done properly. Not Mutlis how embarrasing that would be so keep that in mind as well.

HR gets owned

This is from r12. I was not particulary active with my planet, as far as I remember, but played with the lovely folks at NewDawn.

ND and HR was at war. One tactic (simple, but can be effective enough) is to report fake attacks to the alliance that you are attacking, hoping that it will create chaos, stress and lead to defence sent to the wrong places.

But.. in order to do this, you should not have someone from the one you are trying to attack idle in the channel, where you plan and discuss this fake calls...

To top it off, a HR HC then denied using this tactic on the Planetarion Forums..

Some HC's have a lot of respect. Some members feel honoured when the great leader pm's them. They feel more than happy to tell that leader anything, even without checking if it's really that guy (it's usually a guy, heh).

I knew Sid was such a HC in Fury. This was round 8, and it was around 0600 in the morning (CEST time). The reason for this attempt at impersonating was not a well analyzed approach. It was me being a big pissed off, since I had tried the whole night getting some sleep and had gotten none. Besides, I held somewhat of a grugde against Fury for round 3/4 (I was Legion back then).

I logged on to the fury irc server, and changed my nick to [Fury]Syn_Sid. I started /whois for people I knew where fury members. I didnt not have any passwords/username or any other info. I did not try to hide my ip. Shazna (member of Fury/FaNG's best BG, Insomnia) was the first I tried to pm and who responded:

Willzzz isnt zzz'ing...

One evning I logged on the legion irc server. (I just loved private irc servers back then..)

I changed my nick to Willzzz, without any attempt to hide my ip. Two sec after changing my nick, som guy pm's me.

How to get into a galaxy (part I)

1) Join an enemy server
2) Do a /list
3) change to some nick you havent used before
4) Enter channel
5) Some guy will pm you and you can easily sweettalk him...

(Im Grumpy, couldnt find a better nick since I already had used quite a few)

How to get added to the enemys BC/HC channel

Don't worry, just get into a channel with the right nick (#napalm on the xanadu server), and the very friendly zip will add you :)

What happened after I got added: I talked to Parracida and Titans, and gave my username/password to them. Then ado, the titans techie, put up a relay chat in there. Sadly not much of use came out of it, since VenX or what it was called collapsed rather shortly after.
